SINGAPORE, 3 January 2025 – ComfortDelGro Taxi today announced the expansion of its premium offerings with the launch of its new Toyota Alphard Hybrid taxis with limousine-style service.
The new Toyota Alphard Hybrid taxis can accommodate up to six passengers and offer exceptional luxury features including spacious interiors, ventilated seats with ottoman and massage functions, sunshades, an electric socket, and multiple USB-C charging points. The Toyota Alphard Hybrid joins ComfortDelGro’s existing fleet of limousine taxis, which includes the Mercedes Viano, Toyota Vellfire, Mercedes E-Class, and Lexus ES300 models. Consistent with the ComfortDelGro Lexus ES300 limousine taxis launched last year, these Toyota Alphard Hybrid taxis feature LED taxi signs behind the windscreen instead of traditional rooftop toppers, maintaining a sleek and sophisticated appearance.
Mr Tommy Tan, CEO of CDG Taxi, said: “This move aligns with the growing demand for premium transportation services. The introduction of Toyota Alphard Hybrid taxis enables our drivers to benefit from higher fares while providing passengers with an enhanced travel experience. With a focus on comfort and luxury, we aim to set a new standard in premium transportation.”
To ensure the highest quality service, the company invests in comprehensive professional training for its limousine drivers, which equips them with the skills to provide passengers with premium service, impeccable etiquette, and exceptional customer care.
Cabby Irene Kee, who received the keys to her new Toyota Alphard Hybrid taxi today, shared her excitement: “The spacious and luxurious design of the taxi is very impressive, and I can’t wait to start driving it. I am confident that passengers will love the premium experience it offers, and I look forward to boosting my earnings while delivering exceptional service.”
In addition to providing opportunities for higher earnings, ComfortDelGro Taxi is also committed to building a supportive ecosystem for its cabbies. Beyond CPF contributions to the drivers, the company has also been investing S$5.5 million annually in driver welfare and incentive schemes,
covering its 13,000 cabbies.
These schemes include rental incentives, fuel and electric vehicle charging discounts to defray daily operating costs, medical and income support during illness and recovery.
